Tailored to meet our customers needs we can help with all aspects of personal care from bathing to toileting. Our customers dictate their own care therefore the level of support we offer for help with different tasks can be adapted accordingly to meet the customers needs.
We understand the importance of helping our customers to help themselves more specifically to maintain and develop independence and confidence in everyday activities, work, recreation and meaningful life roles. We will follow our customers wishes and incorporate health advice from other professionals already involved in the customers care.
Halo Domiciliary Care believes that everyone has the right to high quality end of life care. Being relied upon at this precious time is our biggest privilege and we ensure that our customers wishes and choices are respected with the ultimate goal being the customer being comfortable and reaching the end with dignity. We will work together with the palliative care team and pain management to ensure the utmost comfort for our customers.
Companisionship care is a unique form of long term care aiming to reduce loneliness; companion care provides customers with emotional support and friendship as well as practical help with everyday activities. Our customers will tell us exactly what they want from the staff even a cup of tea and good conversation is a common request that all our staff enjoy!
Condition-led care is a way in which care can be tailored towards specific wants or needs. This means that Halo Domiciliary Care will have a unique role as part of a wider team of professionals ensuring that specialist skills meet all the customers varying needs.
Respite care is where our staff temporarily replace the customers regular carer. We can arrange meetings to ensure the carer and customer are comfortable and happy with Halo staff prior to the respite break beginning. We find that this type of care really benefits both the carer and customer who both get a lot from the respite break.
Our home from hospital care helps to make the transition back home as smooth as possible. Wether or not the customer is new or has already been using our services for some time a new assessment will be carried out to ensure we can meet all of the customers needs.
In home care includes a wide range of services provided in the customers home rather than in a community care setting. A change in environment can be daunting for someone who's living with a type of dementia. We are finding more families are turning to home care rather than other care settings so their loved one can stay in the place they know and feel really comfortable in familiar surroundings.
At Halo we can provide support for people with a wide range of mental health diagnosis. Our role in providing care for people in their own home with mental health needs is to offer support and reassurance whilst maintaining and always promoting independence skills where possible. We will work together with our customers specialist professionals ensuring we are all working together towards the customers goals.
Some of our customers already reside in an environment where assistance is at hand within their facility. At Halo we have found some customers in this instance prefer to find their own assistance particularly for regular calls and enjoy the sense of independence that sourcing their own care provides. Often the customers build such good rapports with our staff that these regular calls for support with independent living continue even if the nature of support they need changes.
Our home help services include all domestic duties such as hoovering, dusting, washing dishes, taking out bins and feeding pets. We can help with any household chores and covers all aspects of housekeeping to help our customers live well in their home environment so that it remains clean, tidy and safe. At Halo because our care staff are matched to our customers they will take time to get know the customers preferences and own unique style to make it a happy place to live.
Our visiting care offers the support our customers want exactly when they need it to ensure they can continue living at home. Our visiting times range from as a little as half an hour a week up to several longer visits a day. A visiting carer can make all the difference. Visiting care can be having support with medication or going to the toilet or preferring a shower or a bath. Our unique visiting care service let's you continue living the life you want on your terms.
